Rationale
I feel like i have improved a lot through out my time doing this course because before i used to struggle with a lot of softwares and updating my blog. The soft wares i struggled using were adobe premiere, adobe after effect cause i had not used them before i found it really hard cutting videos and ediiting in perfection on adobe premiere but i got the hand of it before i got on to my second unit and from there i felt comfortable using and i used it well on my animation unit and hopefully i would use it as good on my final major project. The software i also used to struggle on was after affects due to the measurement of the logo or what ever you want to be used however in unit 7 i showed how i had learnt how to use it. This also taught me to stay persistant and that was our blog i struggled keeping up with updating my blog however i made sure i turned that around and i put what i have done on my blog as frequent as possible. lastly what i struggled with at the start was focusing the camera then i learnt how to white balance which boosted my confidence in using the camera more.
Project concept.
For my final major project i will be doing a Mockumentary before i film it i will have to do a primary research, secondary research, Planning, film research and poster.
The the beginning process of creating the final major project is doing the primary research making sure you focus are focus group and ask questions of what you think they think of certain things you have come up with it also helps cause your target audience know you got an idea the focus groups also helps with you would add to your filming.
This type of research will help me with my Mocumentary cause i would be looking at other movies that cover the same type of topic i am going to be covering in my Short film also it would help me gather informations gestures and costume codes for the actors that would be participating in the short film. However the secondary research helps in a lot of ways cause i get to look at other movies or short films exactly similar to mine and get to research about how they do certain things helping my Mockumentary end up perfect.
Evaluation.
I am going to evaluate my Mockumentary by an audio evaltuation because i have never done it before and i feel like it would be a good experience and for all my units i have used writing evaluations i am going to talk about how the target audience was effected. i will talk about subliminals messages that would be put in the short clip making sure the audience leave informed.
Synopsis:
A area were parents fear for their children to be out past 9:30 due to hoodlums(teenagers who cause trouble) this mockumentry is going to shine light on these group of people and hilariously exaggerate their ignorance and how they affect certain kids without them knowing.
Initial ideas
Film: Action film
A group of friends find a mysterious hole in the ground. They all fall into the hole and when they wake up the next day they all have super powers.
This film would be aimed at 16-26 year olds, male and female who like comic books and action films - such as marvel films.
FILM IDEAS
Film: Drama
A mother and her two sons. The mother finds out that she has a terminal illness and she has to tell her children. The story is more about the relationship between the two boys and their general.
The film is aimed at 25- 35 year olds, mainly females as women stereotypically like emotional films. The audience that watch this will have seen Medea.

Initial ideas of my FMP (Final Major Project), My FMP is going to be a mockumentary examples of a mockumentary are Borat and Dave Chappelle's famous sketches etc.
Target audience:
The target audience for the FMP are gonna be from the age 16-25 because that age will understand the message i will be trying to send from the mockumentary and also due to explicit content in the language the places where my Mockumentary would be advertised for people of that age group will be on Link up tv and Grm daily due to it being a website that some people of my target audience and it could also be advertised on comedy central.

My project is a Mockumentary targeted to delinquents(road men) based in the area of south London i am going to mock and strero type their every gesture in a stupid way, the reason why i chose to do a mockumentary on that group of people is because growing up in south London from the age of 14 to 18 they play a big role in your life in the sense that they can be related to you they can be your friend or your parents fear to let you out late cause they dont want you to associate your self with such people and that is something that i am trying to show parents of how silly they are not to affect your childs freedom because of their fear of them. The mockumentary is going to be a 10min short series so it will be split in two episodes showing two types of road men however it will not be boring cause we will be following them on their daily routines and what they think of how they live but due to it being a mockumentary it is going to be humorous to make the audience feel comfortable and not intimidated.

Ali g is a comedy Mockumentry that Mocks a "G" (Gangster) that meats a lot of well know starts and talks about hot topics going on example he met Donald trump and asked him about something that was viral active at that time and he makes the audience feel comfortable about by making them laugh about it. I am going to try and use some of his popular trates cause my audience will understand the sense of humor I'm trying to send across.
#Swil is a comedy Mockumentry that follows the city of Londons most fascinating characters on their journeys to success Micheal dapahh covers all three characters and shows their journey around town. His costume code automatically shows who is playing and his gestures and i am going to deconstruct some of his scenes and make it mine cause he uses some ideas i had thought of to gain my target audiences attention.
Borat is Comedy Mockumentry that is humorously explicit, Borat is a Mockumenter that went around states in the United states and went to iconic places to meet iconic people and asked them questions that offended what they believe. His film showed that even though people were offered they noticed certain thing they do is foolish and thats what I'm trying to do with my Mockumentry to let my Hoodlums know that mischief is not fun and is immature.
Music
The music i am going to be using in my Mockumentruy is going to be music that portrays good vibes and fun also music that has a lot base cause i am deconstructing little parts from Ali G and he uses music that gets his audiences head bopping cause they either know the song or they like the vibe it brings to the room.
Costume
The first song i chose to add to my mockumentry is "Bad" by J hus, Stormzy and Ghetts reason why chose that song is because they all talk about the Main character in my Mockumentry.. Also the chorus pushes it being a Mockumentry in the sense that the song is called Bad and the central protagonist is not Bad
Second song is Offset Monday reason why i chose this song is because the weak starts fresh on a Monday and to a "Road man" he doesn't have nothing constructive to do other than to roam about because all his friends are either at work or uni so this song high lights the stress he we are gonna mock in the mockumentry. i deconstructed this from #swil cause he uses songs for occasions in his characters life.
last but not least septa shut down is a song that talks about him being excited his day is done cause it was awful he explains how happy is even though my character is a hoodlum in the Mockumentry i am going to make him end with a positive feeling. I deconstru
This is a mood board of what my Mockumentry characters would be wearing because it is an auburn street wear clothing that are fashionable in wear there would be filming.As you can tell there is the tracksuits that connote informality and the baseball cap that shows absolute comfortability in the area they are in because certain people tend to take of their hats in formal places or if they are unfamiliar about someone or somewhere.

My character is going to be a tall teenager who is going to be the hight of 5ft11 with long hair and a silver tooth. It would make him look like a "roadman" however he would just be a wannabe a nice kind young man that acts in a wrong manor. He is going to have a confident behavior and a really humorous one making the audience laugh.

The dirty south poster is going to be a poster of both characters both posing in gestures that mocks a roadman look funny instead of serious, the title of the poster is going to be a bold and vibrant colour to also show that there is a point being proven that the characters are going to be mocked the back ground colour is also going to be a bright colour making the audience feel comfortable.
the poster here is how the dirty south poster is going to look really similar because they are characters that play tough characters but the colours dont make it look like they play hard characters. however the darker poster is not how i would like the poster due to it being more dramatic and automatically lets the audience know its a action movie.

My final project took me two weeks and 2 days to complete filming it was intense due to the fact that i was trying to let the shots and the acting satisfy my target audience. I feel like i did really well when it came to my short film i could of done a few thing better and that would be said on my Q&A session with some of the students in south thames college media department they showed me what they liked and what i could of done better in the short film.

The sound that was used in my fmp was basic sounds I could of I'm proved my sound and kept it consistant due to it having bits that was really loud and some parts was not able to hear. I used a lot of instrumentals to draw the audiences attention for example the start of the film I used the famous chariots of fire instrumental and switched it up with a grime instrumental making the audience enjoy the fmp mockumentary.
lighting.
lighting was mostly used in the green room due to us wanting perfect green screen shots we had to make sure there was no shadows we used 5 stand up lights to make sure the charcters were positioned properly, also outside due to weather being good we didn't need additional lighting all was needed was for the camera to be focused
Narrative.
The narrative in the mockumentary was a script made by my partner Bolaji Jayoela also we used some the narrative we freestyled it to give it a more realistic feeling we made sure we did not use a lot of foul words due to us feeling like we have a wide target audience and we did not want any complaints.

the camera that was used was a hand held Panasonic camera it was a camera that gave our mockumentary a grimy look and a realistic feeling of were we grew up also we used a lot of camera angels medium shots was used the most to show the characters facial and body language to attract the audience.
